So what is the program all about?

We chose to go "all in" with this program in order to make a clear statement that as a locally owned business, we care about the environment in which we all live, work, and play.  Rather than buying more advertising, this initiative has allowed us to demonstrate our significant commitment to the local community.  

Through the Sponsor-A-Highway program, Johnson Automotive subsidizes the costs of cleaning crews contracted by the North Carolina Department of Transportation. In addition, our sponsorship alleviates North Carolina taxpayers' burden by over $1,500,000 per year, allowing the North Carolina Department of Transportation to allocate those funds to other initiatives.
